Pops up a notification when someone posts. In the Android app it keeps a quiet background listener so messages notify within a second or two even with the app closed — Android requires a small status entry while it listens, set to the least intrusive level (no icon, no sound; just a collapsed line at the bottom of the shade). On this site it uses browser notifications and only fires while the site is open. If the toggle won't switch on, notifications are blocked for this site — allow them in your browser's site settings, then try again.
